Studio 2 Collection – Fashion For my Studio 2 course, I developed a textile collection inspired by my assigned muse—a 13-year-old girl from Asheville, North Carolina. Drawing from nostalgia with a slight boho influence, I created a cohesive line of prints, knits, and wovens that reflect a youthful, free-spirited aesthetic. As the second in a sequence of four studios, this course focuses on designing textiles for fashion apparel. I explored how textiles interact with the body through illustrative, sculptural, draping, and shaping techniques, ensuring that each fabric not only captured the muse’s personality but also functioned beautifully in garment form. The result is a collection that feels both familiar and fresh, blending playful patterns, soft textures, and a touch of vintage charm.
